Privacy Policy

RevBoard is built for automotive enthusiasts who want to document, manage, and share their vehicle modifications. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

1. Who We Are

RevBoard is developed and operated by Bert Barnes (“we,” “us,” or “our”). You can reach us at the contact information listed at the end of this policy.

Our backend infrastructure is provided by Supabase, Inc., which acts as a data processor on our behalf. Supabase stores and processes data in accordance with their own privacy and security commitments. We do not share your data with any other third parties.

2. Data We Collect

The table below summarizes the data types collected by RevBoard, the purpose for each, and whether the data is linked to your identity.

We do not collect sensitive categories of personal data such as financial information, health data, precise GPS location, contacts, or browsing history.

3. How We Use Your Data

All data collected is used exclusively to provide and improve RevBoard's core functionality:

  • Creating and authenticating your account
  • Storing and displaying your garage, vehicles, and modification records
  • Enabling event discovery and registration
  • Supporting community features such as public car profiles and event entries
  • Analyzing aggregate usage patterns to identify areas for improvement

We do not use your data for third-party advertising, targeted marketing, or any form of tracking as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Supabase: Our backend provider processes data on our behalf for storage, authentication, and database operations.
  • Public profile features: If you choose to make your vehicle profile or event entries public within the app, that content is visible to other RevBoard users. You control this setting.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

To request account deletion, contact us at the address below or use the account deletion option within the app settings.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, contact us directly. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have additional rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to request deletion.

7. Children's Privacy

RevBoard is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS), row-level security policies in our database, and secure authentication through Supabase. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide notice through the app or by email. Your continued use of RevBoard after any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
